Hello there! Padawan J here, the resident Star Wars expert from the ODPH! And this week I’m going to be reviewing the fourth and final issue in the Inquisitors mini-series from Rodney Barnes & Marvel comics!
Darth Vader has tasked THREE inquisitors to hunt down and eliminate Jedi fugitive Tensu Run, and they’ve failed at every turn. Vader’s had enough of the failure and he’s now tasked the Grand Inquisitor to finish the job. Will he succeed? Let’s jump into it!
Star Wars: Inquisitors #4 by Rodney Barnes (writer), Ramon Rosanas (artist), Guru e-FX (color artist), VC’s Travis Lanham (letterer), Nick Bradshaw & Neeraj Menon (cover artists) is a fantastic end to the miniseries. It’s the most action packed issue of the whole series, and is a ton of fun to read.
The issue kicks off with a flashback sequence to Order 66, and at this point I’ve lost count of how many times we’ve seen it. It then kicks into the main part of the issue with Vader sending the inquisitors after Tensu Run, and Tensu sensing that things are coming to an end.
DARTH VADER!
The action in this issue is top notch, and the highlight of the issue. Between the battles in space and the lightsaber duels, there’s something in this issue for everyone. The tension is incredibly high throughout the issue and it had me on the edge of my seat in anticipation of the ending. And as for the ending? Well, I don’t want to spoil it because you really should read it for yourself to find out. But let’s just say it’s an incredible ending that looks like something straight out of a movie.
FINAL POINT: Rodney Barnes delivered an epic conclusion to a fun mini-series that I honestly went into with no real big expectation. Each issue surpassed the previous one, and it’s a series that will appeal to a broad range of fans.
Score: 8.0 out of 10
