READ LAST ISSUES REVIEW!
The X-Force team is out for blood as Beasts clones are again on the loose. An Unlikely ally, however, may be the key as Beast is forced to team up to potentially kill….or capture HIMSELF!
The Art:
The artwork in this issue and series has remained a high point as it’s the simplest of details, such as the wrinkles on Logan’s face, that showcase how much attention to detail there is within every page. The costume designs also continue to be fun and contrast each other extremely well within this issue. Guru and Robert are very much on the same page giving us a very close noir feel in some regards within this story as Beast is on the run.
The Writing:
Percy has quickly become a favorite of mine when it comes to grabbing an X-Men book. He writes with a flare that gives the mutants a zest to them all. Giving us the twist where Beast is now teaming up with a reformed Wonder Man?! Let alone he’s become a Pacifist got a perfect laugh out of me, too. Joe is also making strides with his lettering, not taking up too much within the pages yet, but still getting Percy’s point across.
Overall:
This issue perfectly sets up a fast-paced conclusion to this mini-arc. You can sense Hank’s desperation as he is willing to do whatever it takes to showcase he is still on the side of X-Force while also showcasing the brutal leader Logan has inside of him, ready to do the same. Another strong outing from the team that people should be reaching for immediately!
9/10 Cigars Bub.
