The Story:
Gerry Duggan had a high bar to clear after the fantastic third issue of Uncanny Avengers. However, that bar was cleared effortlessly with this one! The Avengers Unity Squad are perfectly written here. Each character gets a moment to shine, with the standouts being Deadpool, Quicksilver, and Black Widow.
On top of the incredible characterizations, the surprise identity of Captain Krakoa was a great way to end this issue. I am impressed with each chapter of this story and the way that I feel for each player on the board. I feel disgust for Doctor Stasis, pitty for Blob, fear for the Unity Squad, pride in Ben Urich, and terror at what Captain Krakoa is capable of. This is really a masterclass in writing an ensemble of characters.
The Art:
The art team of this book is still doing great things. Each action scene is thrilling and cinematic. Each emotional beat is well crafted and easy to read without words. The violence and gore are just enough to give weight to the situation but not so over the top as to take the reader out of the moment.

Verdict: 10/10
With incredible story telling, great action, and cover to cover entertainment, Uncanny Avengers #4 is an absolute win! All of that plus a final page reveal, that I won’t spoil here, that left me excited, confused, and terrified for this new Unity Squad. This issue, as well as, this series is pure Marvel Perfection!
