The Story:

As the most of The Avengers deal with the Ashen Combine on Earth, Captain America and Black Panther attempt to destroy their space station, The Impossible City! However, just as things seem to be looking hopeless on the planet, the two heroes find themselves in a, less than hopeful situation above!

The Writing:

Jed MacKay is doing a fantastic job putting The Avengers in a desperate situation. By keeping the focus on certain members of the team in each issue, this book allows everyone time to shine. The focus on Vision and Captain America and Black Panther was very well executed here with Vision’s battle with Meridian Diadem being the stand out. The story has been able to unfold at a perfect pace as MacKay cuts between the team and the Impossible City. The choice to have this issue from the point of view of the Impossible City was a nice touch.

The Art:

Ivan Fiorelli and Federico Blee continue to show themselves up to the task of taking on the monumental weight of a title like The Avengers. The character designs and action sequences are top notch, and the characters are able to emote without the need of dialogue. This is a beautiful book, there is nothing else to say!

The Verdict: 9.5/10

Once again, this creative team has dropped a fantastic book for the readers. The action, plot, and desperation of this series continues to ramp up as The Avengers find themselves in the middle of an impossible situation. The final pages left me with goosebumps and a fist pumping as I said aloud with them, “NO!” The Avengers are in capable hands and I’m so very excited to see where this story goes next!
