PREDATOR BLOODSHED #4: Revenge is a Dish

Published:

There is nowhere to hide from the monstrous Yautja, and the rich elite are finding that out the hard way! As one member’s motives for fighting are revealed, the Yautja is on a war path with nothing to stop him. The penultimate issue sets the stage for one final battle in a winner-takes-all.

Creative Team: Jordan Morris, Boschi, Ruairi Coleman, Reese Hannigan, Dee Cunniffe, Andrew Cramer, VC’s Clayton Cowles, and Ken Lashley.

The Story:

Fewer things can be more satisfying than watching some rich scumbag get violently murdered, I tell you. Jordan makes each death in this issue feel satisfying in different ways. When the Yautja arrive and tear apart the watching party, we cannot help but cheer and be engaged, as turkey isn’t the only thing that is being served up on a platter at this event! However, we switch gears and sympathize as Jakob’s quest for revenge is revealed for his lost partner. He puts up a valiant fight and gets some solid hits in before biting the dust himself. I truly have no idea who will survive this as we head into the final issue, and Morris has done an incredible job at delivering on the fun!

The Art and Letters:

The art team gets to have more fun in this issue as they find creative ways to showcase some deaths. We get a member’s head severed and a panel where it lands next to the turkey in a hilarious sequence. The team displays the Yautja’s array of weapons, including his wrist blades and even his shoulder canon, leading to a brutal death as well. When Jakob and the Yautja fight, there is a heaviness to the punches, and we even saw the green blood spray out vibrantly. They seem to be having a ton of fun working on this run, and it shows!

Final Thoughts:

Predator Bloodshed #4 gives us both satisfying fight and kill sequences and some real oh crap moments as the Yautja is a tank that just will not stop. We are set up for an epic finale with no idea who will come out alive!

Overall Grade: 9/10
