D’Orc #3
Writer – Brett Bean
Artist – Brett Bean
Colorist – Jean-François Beaulieu
Letterer – Nate Piekos
Cover – Brett Bean
The Story:
D’Orc is on the run through the Scar and helping everyone in his path. Meanwhile, a Dwarf, sent by the Light to destroy D’Orc is hot on his trail. Can D’Orc outrun and out maneuver this zealot of an adversary? Or will he be wiped from existence for simply being born?

The Writing:
Brett Bean continues this story with incredible humor and action while also keeping the reader engaged emotionally with D’Orc. The pacing of this issue is perfect and never lets up. I am especially impressed with the little bits of lore that is being given in each issue. New creatures, new factions, and new threats are being peppered in to populate this world and make it feel alive.
The Art:
Much like with the writing, Brett Bean is crafting a story for the ages with the help of colorist Jean-François Beaulieu. The art in this series complements the story so perfectly that I cannot imagine this book with a different art style. With the incredible blend of cartoony violence and over the top action, this art team can do no wrong!
Overall Grade: 10/10
What can I say? D’Orc has become my most anticipated book each month. With incredible art and an engaging and wildly entertaining story, D’Orc is a must read and an easy 10/10!
