The epic finale is here as Kong and the Justice League must hold the line against the fury of monsters, while they wait for reinforcements to arrive. It’s an all-out chaotic battle as part two begins to wrap up, and the King of the Monsters will be crowned once more!

*SPOILERS AHEAD*
The Story:
Buccellato knows how to make a grand finale that hits every incredible beat. This is chaos in its purest form from start to finish. We start with Batman and Harley having a fun and tender moment while we get to see Mothra being brought into the fold. There is a fun and interesting twist involving Aquaman, as we see him being able to communicate with the monsters in a similar way that he does with the sea creatures. It adds an intriguing element to the big final battle.
Brian adds important dialogue. What stands out to me is his ability to let the art do the storytelling in this issue. At the end of the day, it comes down to gigantic titans battling one another, and he delivers just that. This part wraps up with the hope we will get more, and of course, a bit of humor between King Shark and Harley on a beach.
The Art and Letters:
The artwork really tells the story in this big final issue. Christian and Luis deliver on all of the epic moments we would want out of the final battle. It is impressive how Christian is able to make these titans feel strong and appear larger than life while not overcrowding the panels. Some challenging moments between Manhunter, Ghidorah, and the Apes couldn’t have been easy to detail, but Christian does a wonderful job not making it too confusing. When it comes to the coloring, Luis dives deep into the bag of tricks, and it’s like watching a light show on the pages. These beautiful splash pages are met with such beautiful coloring, giving life to each big moment. To hammer home the effects, there are big sound effects across panels that bring home the moments.
Final Thoughts:
Justice League Vs. Godzilla Vs. Kong Part 2 #7 is an epic finale to this installment in the Monsterverse. The art tells most of the story and nails the big beats of the final battle beautifully. It is everything we could have asked for, and I cannot help but feel greedy and need a part 3.
