The newly formed Justice League stands before the only gate into the Phantom Zone as their hunt for Luthor has led them to this unknown dimension. However, Diana warns them that the Phantom Zone will not only play with their minds but, something else, someone else lies waiting inside longing to escape an,d he could be the destroyer of their world.

Creative Team: Andy Diggle (WRITER), Leandro Fernandez (ART and COVER), Matt Hollingsworth (COLORS and COVER), and Simon Bowland (LETTERS).
*SPOILERS AHEAD*
The Story:
Andy has brought things to a head in this issue, and it isn’t in an action-packed manner that we would expect. I enjoy how he brings the heroes together, and they truly form a bond and lean on one another. Alan shows his tender moment by being there for Cyborg as Diana is fierce as ever. Batman is who we know him to be, but he and Superman share a moment that no matter what time period or story displays their bond together. I did not see the betrayal coming in the book at all, and we have the tease of Darkseid. I cannot wait to see where we go next.
The Art and Letters:
I love living in this world that Matt and Leandro have built. The style of the various costumes has grown on me, and through their detail, I cannot help but linger over the panels and take in everyone’s various looks. The duo brings Darkseid to life, teasing his power and might, truly making him a force to be reckoned with. The final splash page of our heroes standing tall together belongs framed and hung, as it gives hope and captures the essence of the Justice League so perfectly.
Final Thoughts:
Batman: Gotham by Gaslight, A League For Justice #6 is an issue full of cautionary tales, twists, and turns, and shows our league forming an unbreakable bond. It’s narratively driven, bringing them together as Andy shows off what makes this team special, as Simon, Matt, and Leandro bring the team to life beautifully. I need more and want to live in this world forever, as it is full of excitement!
Overall Grade: 9.5/10
