Published:

It’s X years later and Laura Kinney has retired the Wolverine name, for Sabretooth. However, taking the name of her father’s nemesis is not how it appears.

The Story for Laura Kinney: Sabretooth #1

An X-Virus, a controlling mutant, families ripped apart… a lot has happened in the past X years. While Laura has always done whatever she can to help mutantkind, things aren’t always black and white. An awkward and painful (literally) family reunion leads Laura to question the decisions she’s been making, and the alliances she has formed. A decision being selfless, doesn’t always make it right.

The Art

There are some beautiful and epic action shots in Laura Kinney: SABRETOOTH #1. However, the art I truly loved were the settings. The backgrounds throughout this comic created the perfect atmosphere for each scene. All while highlighting the characters and the storyline beautifully. From luscious to creepy, every scene was spot on and gorgeous.

Overall Grade: 9/10

Another fantastic Laura Kinney comic from Erica Schultz. A lot has happened to Laura, yet she still maintains what makes her such an amazing character. Much like her father, Logan, she’s always sticking her neck out for others and fighting for what she thinks is right. She’s also never afraid to admit when she was wrong.

I absolutely loved this first issue, and cannot wait to see more from these characters, and where it all goes. SNIKT!
