The Story:

This issue was full of action and surprises on every page. Brian does a great job moving the plot forward and allowing for various characters who may not always have time together to share panels in exciting ways. One of my favorite moments is Superman calling Lex weird as his obsession with Superman’s powers cross many boundaries. Brian also dives into some of the lore with Monarch and has begun to explore their corporation and the lore with some other monsters as well which is sure to excite hardcore fans. There is a lo of depth being added into this run and issue that caters to fans of each franchise being showcased in this fight.

The Art:

Luis’s color work continues to shine brightly, and he highlights the mysterious wonder of Hollow Earth. When it comes to showcasing powers there are panels featuring Flash where the color work is insanely detailed and blended together. The suits and texture that is added bring a lot to the table in this issue adding to the layers in the story.

Christian’s artwork is another display of excellent work as he adds lines and details to the gang of gorillas that face down Superman and Lex. It’s those little details and wounds being shown that go a long way and showcase the level of care being given to the story.

Final Thoughts:

Justice League vs Godzilla vs Kong 2 #3 adds lore to the creatures the League is forced to square off against, while pairing heroes and villains alike together in fun and intriguing ways.
