Hello there! Padawan J here, the resident Star Wars expert from the ODPH! And this week I’m going to be reviewing the 3rd issue of Star Wars: The High Republic: Fear Of The Jedi #3 from Marvel Comics!
If you’ve been keeping up with The High Republic lately then you know war is raging all across the galaxy between the Republic & the Nihil! And that is especially true on the planet Naboo! So let’s jump into it!

Star Wars: The High Republic #3 by Cavan Scott (Writer), Marika Cresta (Artist), Jim Campbell (Colorist), VC’s Ariana Maher (Letterer) & Phil Noto (Cover Art) is an action packed, fast paced issue that is sure to thrill everyone.
The Story
The story this week is great one from Cavan Scott, and just shows how chaotic war can be inside the Star Wars universe. It’s awesome to see the Republic finally getting the upper hand against the Nihil after playing catchup for so long.
But, perhaps we were all thinking positively too soon because the ending is one of the craziest things I’ve ever seen in Star Wars. I honestly can’t say I know what that is, but I really can’t wait to find out what it is!
The Artwork
Cresta & Campbell do a phenomenal job with their work this week and really give it that classic Star Wars feel. The space battles in particular really stood out to me and are absolutely gorgeous to see. Also again, that final panel is worth the purchase alone.
FINAL POINT
An action packed story, mixed together with incredible artwork make this issue a must read. If you’re a Star Wars fan, this issue is everything you want in a comic. It’s going to be interesting to see the next issue given the ending. Cavan Scott continues to cement his status as an incredible writer.
Overall Grade: 9.0/10
