Creative Team: Rob Williams and Pye Parr (Image Comics)
I am anxious and excited talk about Petrol Head Issue #2. Created by Rob Williams and cover artist and artist, by Pye Parr. As the reader, we are reunited with the same characters, Lupa, her father, and Petrol Head. They are headed off to another adventure, and it seems that Lupa is wrestling with aspects her life. including how she feels about robots in general. This issue reveals a revelation to the reader about Lupa’s connection, and understanding her perspective about it.
Petrol Head again shows his personality, and figuring out and navigating the adventures with Lupa and her father. Action-packed sequences of them dodging bots, and figuring out how to get out of certain situations. It seems during this issue, as the reader, I started to understand and get into Petrol Head’s thinking, as he makes rash decisions about continuing and dodging danger. I also can see that Petrol Head is starting to understand emotions, especially from Lupa and her father.
The art is what has impressed me yet again. It’s vibrant, and the colors pop out on each panel. I also love the shading of each character, and seeing each individual panel come to life. Again, Rob Williams and Pye Parr did an exceptional job building this world. There is another cliff-hanger at the end of this issue. I’m hoping to follow Lupa, her father, and Petrol Head on yet another adventure as they go forward.
