Marvel Comics Reveals Black Widow: Black, White & Red Room

Marvel Comics have announced a new Black Widow mini-series.

This new mini-series, Black Widow: Black, White & Red Room, has an all-star creative team attached to the first issue, including: 

• Writers: Stephanie Phillips (Planet She-Hulk, Ghost-Spider & Daredevil), Devin Grayson (Marvel-Verse, Batman: War Games & DC’s Finest: Catwoman) & Jeremy Whitley (Strange Tails, Sea Of Thieves: Sea Dog’s Search & School For Extraterrestrial Girls) 
• Artists: Giuseppe Camuncoli (The Amazing Spider-Man, Batman & Jay & Silent Bob: Days Of Future Past), JG Jones (Firefly, Pop Kill: Big Candy & Dune: House Atreides) & Bradley Clayton (Wiccan & Hulking: Raid Of Ultron, Stranger Things Library Edition & Kaiju Blues) 

Stephanie & Giuseppe’s story follows Black Widow on a heist, while Devin & JG have White Widow & Daredevil team-up. Finally, Jeremy & Bradley are telling the story of how The Unstoppable Wasp, Jane Van Dyne, escaped the Red Room. Creators like Peach Momoko and Sam Humphries will do additional stories in future issues. 

Artist JG Jones had this to say about returning to Yelena: 

“Creating super hero comics is intensely collaborative. Returning to Yelena now, more than twenty years after J.G. and I first introduced her, is like joining a dynamic round-robin with everyone from esteemed colleagues to Black Widow filmmakers. It was an absolute joy to include and honor their contributions. 

When I heard the story would be in the black, white, and red format, I immediately thought of Daredevil, and how overdue and fascinating a team-up between them would be. We always have to think about comic stories visually, and to have a strong, compelling stylistic note like this is a creative gift.” 

Black Widow: Black, White & Red Room #1 releases December 16th.
