Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there! On this day that we celebrate the men that raised us, lets take a look at the Top 5 Best Dad’s in the MCU!
#5 – Yondu Udonta

Kicking off our list we have the epitome of “He did his best…”
While Yondu may not be the typical on screen father you’d see on a top 5 list, he was the “Daddy” that Peter Quill needed to help him survive in a rough galaxy. After having a change of heart, Yondu decided to save Peter from his biological father, Ego the Living Planet, and raise him as a member of his Ravager crew. While not the perfect parent, Yondu did his best to love Peter the way he knew how and made the ultimate sacrifice to save his son’s life. In the end, Quill had fond and loving memories to look back on with Yondu and, while not perfect or even an ideal situation, that proves that Yondu did his best to give Peter as good of a life as he could.
#4 – Scott Lang (Ant-Man)

Scott Lang is a caring and loving father that, had it not been for a series of mistakes and bad decisions, would be higher on this list. Scott’s desire to spend time with his daughter, Cassie, is apparent through each on screen appearance. He risks being arrested to go to her birthday party, puts together an elaborate playhouse during his house arrest, and she is the first person he searches for when he is released from the Quantum Realm. However, his repeated decisions to be a hero, noble though they are, stole precious time away from the one relationship he truly cared about.
#3 – Clint Barton (Hawkeye)

In Clint Barton we get our first true “Family Man” of this list. He’s supportive, loving, caring, and genuinely enjoys spending time with his kids. Throughout the films, we get to see the lengths he goes to keep his family safe and the depths he’s willing to go when they are taken from him. After losing his family during the Blip, he falls down into a dark depression and loses himself to anger and grief. So much so, that he is willing to end his own life in hopes that it may bring them back. While he struggles with the things he did during his time as Ronin, he does not let it effect his relationship with his children. Instead, it spurs him to cherish and deepen the bond between them.
#2 – Tony Stark (Iron Man)

Come on… there’s just no way I could make a Top 5 MCU list and not include Tony Stark.
To be fair, he certainly deserves a place on this list. From genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist to loving husband and father is quite the impressive arc for any character. Tony Stark is willing to give everything for his daughter, Morgan, including leaving half of the population to grieve the loss of their loved ones. However, what truly makes him belong on this list is the fact that his other kid… you know, Spider-Man’s loss is what finally spurs him on to do something about the Blip. Tony makes the ultimate sacrifice to ensure his daughter, as well as all of creation are safe from Thanos. He even had the foresight to record a message for his family to help them deal with his death.
“I love you 3000…”
#1 – Yusuf Khan

At our top spot, it’s a man with no super powers, no incredible tech, no grand destiny. We have a simple man who loves his family and wants nothing more than the best possible life for them. Yusuf, through his multiple appearances, has proven to be a font of wisdom, courage, and love that any parent should strive to achieve. Breaking the stereotype of the gruff immigrant father, Yusuf parents through respect and understanding. He is willing to do anything for his family, and he has been a source of calm reassurance to every character he’s interacted with in the MCU.
