Marvel Comics Announces New Avengers Series

Marvel Comics have announced a new Avengers series.

Now, this new mainline series is spinning out of Avengers: Armageddon, which is launching with Issue #1 next week. Writer Chip Zdarsky and Artist Marco Checchetto are teaming up on this new series, and will be introducing a new team, with members that include:

• Spider-Man 
• Captain Marvel
• Wolverine 
• Luke Cage 
• Daredevil

Earth’s Mightiest Heroes

The team is also getting a new hero, who will be revealed in time. The book’s full description reads: 

“EARTH’S MIGHTIEST SURVIVORS!

With the world order completely rewritten after the events of Avengers: Armageddon, a day unlike any other arrives, when a new group of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes find themselves united to avenge the Marvel Universe: SPIDER-MAN, WOLVERINE, CAPTAIN MARVEL, DAREDEVIL, LUKE CAGE and an all-new hero set to make their explosive debut soon!” 

What the creative team has to say

Writer Chip Zdarsky had this to say about the new series:

Zdarsky also said this about working with Marco Checchetto:
