Season Seven Lowdown
On Tuesday afternoon, the team at NetEase finally revealed to players who our two season seven heroes would be. The first that comes alongside the season’s Friday release is White Fox, arriving as our first strategist since Deadpool. Along with White Fox comes a bevy of balance changes, including the long-awaited nerfs of Gambit and Elsa Bloodstone. Also, as with every new season, there comes a new battle pass. This time, the pass includes skins for characters such as Peni Parker, Adam Warlock and Hela!
As the first half of the season goes on, fans will be able to play on a new map set in Lower Manhattan, earn skins for Magik and other heroes through two events, get a new emote on April Pool’s Day and play as Black Cat starting April 17th. This is yet another massive and exciting season to look forward to! I’m anxiously awaiting the chance to play Black Cat as she’s always been one of my favorite Marvel characters. White Fox Overview
Since White Fox is our first hero this season, let’s take a look at her abilities! First, I should note that most of her kit centers around her ability “Fox Form Awakening”. This form puts her into her Awakened status, creating a circle of healing for her teammates. Once awakened, she can utilize her Claw Strike, Predatory Pounce and Tail Sweep abilities, using them all together for one threatening combo. However, in order to get full usage out of Fox Form Awakening, you need to use her primary fire to gain Spirit Tail energy. That energy can also be spent on her Spectral Surge ability, sending out a fox that lures in enemies.
Two other major abilities that she has are Spirit Sanctuary and her ultimate, Kumiho Unleashed. The first of these abilities allows her to teleport to a teammate, creating a 200 HP shield around them while healing. The second ability transforms her into a full Nine-Tailed Fox. In this form, she pounces on enemies to deal damage, grants massive healing to allies in the area and can grant one ally invulnerability.

Final Thoughts
Overall, I’m majorly excited for this season and for the meta to be shaken up in such a big way! As a strategist main, I think White Fox is the exact change the role needed. On top of everything I stated, I didn’t even get to mention the much-needed change to ultimate charges across the board. This is absolutely going to be not just an exciting season, but one the game’s needed for such a long time now.
