This non-spoiler review was made possible by Apple+ screeners of Imperfect Women.
What does it mean for women to have friendship? This limited series stars Kerry Washington, Elizabeth Moss, and Kate Mara. Three women who are friends suddenly faced a tragedy. This series explores the themes of friendship, love, and the complexity of being friends with women. Some of the other cast includes Leslie Odom Jr., Corey Stoll, and Joel Kinnaman.
Kerry Washington does a fantastic performance, with being the one thread that I couldn’t keep my eyes off of. All three of these women I am a personal fan of, so I knew the series was going to be good. Elizabeth Moss also does an amazing job in portraying her character. Lastly, Kate Mara, a familiar face I’ve seen on screen, brings a really strong performance.

What I liked overall is that this show is equally balanced between the three women. No one overshadowed anyone, and I was happy to see that. Sometimes shows have a hard time balancing time for the audience to get to know the characters.

I also like that there is some diversity in the show, which was nice to see. Especially in the times when there are some quieter moments. I also love the element of being a mystery as to what happened with the tragedy. Each episode, I was questioning what happened and why. I was on the edge of my seat the entire series. I wanted to know more information, and of course, I had my own theories as to what happened. Imperfection is one of the best limited series that I have watched in a very long time.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Please watch this amazing series. Three women who all had groundbreaking performances. I also loved the supporting cast, and if you like a thrill, you will like this. Washington, Mara, and Moss all made an impactful mark as I was watching the series.
Watch Imperfect Women streaming on AppleTV on March 18th.
