What’s Not To Love: February Movie Preview

Moviegoers have continued to eat quite well as 2026 heads into its second month. January had an unusual number of exceptional films, breaking a time honored tradition where films that studios have little faith in go to die. This year was most certainly not the case and February looks to continue the trend started way back in April of 2025 with the release of ‘Sinners.’

There are a number of high profile films that are hitting screens this month nationwide. ‘”Wuthering Heights,”‘ the Jacob Elordi Margot Robbie adaptation of the Emily Brontรซ. As well as the A24 Glenn Powell rags to riches flick, ‘How to Make a Killing’ both grace the silver screen this month as two of the most anticipated films of the year. Likewise, the final installment of ‘The Strangers’ trilogy and ‘Scream 7’ keep horror in the drivers seat as they hope to terrorize audiences upon their release this month as well.

Friday, February 6th, 2026

The Strangers – Chapter 3

Director: Renny Harlin
Starring: Madelaine Petsch, Richard Brake, Janis Ahern
Runtime: 1 Hour 31 Minutes

Preview: Serving as the conclusion to ‘The Strangers’ Trilogy, ‘The Strangers – Chapter 3’ turns up the dial on the brutality, offering more violence than ever before. Following the survivors of the previous films as they seek treatment for trauma, the masked murderers show up again, plunging everyone back into a fight for their survival.

Solo Mio

Director: Charles Kinnane, Daniel Kinnane
Starring: Kevin James, Jonathan Roumie, Kim Coates
Runtime: 1 hour 40 minutes

Preview: After a wedding disaster where he found himself left at the alter, Matt Taylor is stuck in Rome. Attempting to enjoy his ruined honeymoon, Matt comes to find out that heartbreak is only the beginning. The film looks to be a comedic introspective in to life and love that moviegoers are not going to want to miss this month.


Friday, February 13th, 2026

Crime 101

Director: Bart Layton
Starring: Chris Hemsworth, Halle Berry, Mark Ruffalo, Barry Keoghan, Corey Hawkins, Nick Nolte

Preview: ‘Crime 101’ brings moviegoers Hollywood’s latest take on the heist caper. Coming to theater in the shadow of films like ‘Heat’ and ‘Point Break,’ ‘Crime 101’s star studded cast looks reignite a genre that could absolutely use a shot of adrenaline. Caught in a web of his own making and looking to make one last score, Davis (Chris Hemsworth) finds himself at odds with a relentless detective (Mark Ruffalo) and in league with a disillusioned Insurance Broker (Halle Berry). This one looks to be made of pure adrenaline and worthy of a trip to the cinema

“Wuthering Heights”

Director: Emerald Fennel
Starring: Jacob Elordi, Margot Robbie
Run Time: 2 hours 16 minutes

Preview: Emerald Fennel’s adaptation of Emily Brontรซ’s ‘Wuthering Heights will bring her own spin to the classic story, which is why she uses quotations in the title if you were wondering. Jacob Elordi takes on the role of Heathcliff alongside Margot Robbie, who portrays Cathy, already has moviegoers abuzz before it’s release over Valentine’s Day weekend. The film will ounce again put the romantic and tumultuous relationship between Heathcliff and Catherine Earnshaw to the big screen.

GOAT

Director: Tyree Dillihay, Adam Rosette
Starring: Caleb McLaughlin, Gabrielle Union, Nick Kroll, Stephen Curry
Run Time: 1 hour 40 minutes

Preview: ‘GOAT’ brings the family fun to the screen this February. The highly anticipated film sports an all star cast and a plotline that is sure to entertain moviegoers and that’s before we even mention that the same animation team also worked on ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse.’ The film follows Will, a goat, that is provided a once in a lifetime opportunity to play his favorite sport, roarball, with the professionals, who just so happen to be his heroes. ‘GOAT’ is going to be an animated event that you’re definitely going to want to get out to.

How to Make a Killing

Director: John Patton Ford
Starring: Glenn Powell, Margaret Qualley, Ed Harris
Run Time: 1 hour 45 minute

Preview: There are plenty of ways to get rich and then there’s Becket’s way. Disowned by his very prominent and wealthy, Becket looks to a unique way of cutting the line and getting the inheritance himself. That is to say, he plans on murdering his cousins. This Glenn Powell led A24 flick is sure to get your adrenaline pumping as we follow Becket as he executes his plan. This particular film is one of most anticipated films this year and is absolutely a must see film this month.

Psycho Killer

Director: Gavin Polone
Starring: Dutchess Cayetano, Malcom McDowell, Georgina Campbell
Run Time: 1 hour 32 minutes

Preview: Following the brutal murder of her husband, Officer Jane Thorne sets out to find his killer. What she finds is a saddistic serial killer with a penchant for violence. This crime will push her to her full limits, emotionally and physically. ‘Psycho Killer’ looks to be another brutal mind trip of a film that pushes moviegoers to their limits right along with Officer Thorne.

I Can Only Imagine 2

Director: Andrew Erwin, Brent McCorkle
Starring: Arielle Kebbel, Dennis Quaid, Milo Ventimiglia
Run Time: 1 hour 50 minutes

Preview: Following the success of ‘I Can Only Imagine,’ the first film in the series that details the rise of megapopular Christian musical artist, MercyMe, ‘I Can Only Imagine 2’ picks up where the first film left off, but with new challenges for Bart Millard and his bandmates. ICOI2 follows Millard as he deals with a devastating health dianosis for his son, culminating in the writing of one of their biggest hits, “Even If.” The film looks to deliver on the drama and big emotions that moviegoers loved about the first film.


Friday, February 27th, 2026

Scream 7

Director: Kevin Williamson
Starring: Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox, Isabel May
Run Time: 1 hour 54 minutes

Preview: The ‘Scream’ films have created a slasher renaissance not once, but twice. With the release of ‘Scream (2022),’ Sid and her friends found themselves back in Ghostfaces crosshairs. Hoping to have put it all behind her, Sid, played by the returning Neve Campbell, lives in a new town where she is raising her daughter. The peace is broken when Ghostface reemerges in her new town, dragging her back into her nightmares, but this time, her daughter is the prime target. The ‘Scream’ franchise has always been a tried and true franchise that looks to keep thing scary and bloody once again.
