In this episode, it starts with Barb (Frances Turner) having a meeting about the Vault-Tec crew. Barb realizes with the vault decisions in her hands, it gives vulnerability to her family. After, Lucy (Ella Purnell) finds her father in the vault, and wants to turn him in, for killing people in Shady Sands. Hank (Kyle MacLachlan) seems to have built a whole group that works for him, and it seems they are in a brainwashed state.
Meanwhile, Maximus (Aaron Moten) is talking to Thaddeus (Johnny Pemberton) about the vile that was given to him. Thaddeus wants to sell it, but Maximus thinks that it has a higher purpose and wants to pick Lucy’s brain about it. It’s interesting that Maximus calls her a “good person” given what Lucy has done in the series. Maximus has no idea where and what Lucy will be at towards this season’s end.
Jumping back to Cooper(Walton Goggins), he has more of a conversation with Barb about what decisions she is making regarding the vault. In the present time, Cooper is trying to get off the pole that Lucy pushed him on. With many of the flashbacks with Cooper, Barb said there is nothing she can do to stop the plans. I love the complexity of Cooper and Barb’s relationship.
In Vault 33, Betty (Leslie Uggams) has the In Breeding Support group dissolved, and Reg (Rodrigo Luzzi) has a problem with it. Betty explains that they are running out of water, and it’s going to take time to build it back up. Reg doesn’t care and still protests that they should have the snacks.
Again, so many questions again towards the end of it. I really enjoy Cooper’s flashbacks because it fills in the information needed for the viewers. Especially it helps to know what Barb’s motives are, and what she has done in the past.
