Peacemaker on HBO Max is back with another epic episode. Last we saw everyone, they just realized the other world they’ve found themselves in is not too accepting. Nothing says red flag more, than one with a swastika on it. Let’s dive into episode 7, Like a Keith in the Night.
SPOILERS AHEAD!

Episode 7 picks up where Episode 6 left off as the whole crew comes to find out that this is the Earth in which the Nazis won World War 2. Harcourt and Chris are escaping A.R.G.U.S., Adebayo is on the run, Economos is tied up in the house, and Vigilante Squared are off to help save Adebayo. As Adebayo is on the run, she dives into a pool where an unlikely ally in Judomaster appears to lend a helping hand. He pulls her out of the pool and electrocutes the neighbors who were chasing Adebayo through the streets instantly killing them. The duo hide in a neighbors house where it turns out he has been laying low and reading up on the alternate history as the owners of the house are out of town. The duo bond playing a game of Scrobble and discuss how Chris isn’t such a bad guy he just is a little dumb.
Back at A.R.G.U.S., Chris and Harcourt are trapped when he tells her to hold on and launches them through glass and out of the building, taking off on the peace bike. As the cops chase them down, he two have a moment on the bike showing their feelings for one another. As the cops corner them with nowhere to go, Keith and their dad arrive, killing all of the cops and telling them if they want to live to come with them (T2 anyone??)
Back on our Earth, Rick Flagg Sr enters a warehouse that is holding not only Luthor’s headquarters ship but, his right-hand man, Sydney, who helps them ping where the multi-dimensional portal is. Back on Earth X, Chris, Harcourt, and Economos are in the kitchen with Keith and their father discussing what went down and explaining how they all arrived on this Earth when the cops arrive asking to look around the house, to which Auggie tells them to leave.

Outside, Vigilante and Vigilante show up behind Judomaster and Adebayo, where our Vigilante and Judomaster get into it before Adebayo calms them down. They decide they should sneak into the house, over killing the cops, to save the trio. Inside, Auggie is explaining how he believes our Chris and how is trying to talk Keith down from killing him. He tells the trio how he isn’t a Nazi and disagrees with what this Earth believes in when Vigilante jumps through the window, stabbing him to death. Chaos ensues as the cops enter the house and a shootout takes place while everyone is running to get to the portal. As they are about to leave Keith attacks Chris when Eagly attacks Keith and Vigilante stabs Keith to which Chris screams to stop before they deal the killing blow. He lays crying over Keith and we see flashbacks of everyone he has caused to die as the group pull him into the portal. Emilia is the last one out and is about to shoot Keith when the cops begin shooting and Earth X’s Vigilante shoves her into the door and closes it.
Once back to Earth, the crew closes the portal and heads outside, where they come face to face with Rick Flagg Sr. and A.R.G.U.S. Chris gives the portal key over and says they convinced him to come back, which Judomaster verifies, having found new respect for him through Adebayo. The episode ends with Chris being arrested and the team watching as he is taken away.
John Cena delivers an incredible performance in this episode alongside Robert Patrick, who brings the emotion and leaves us sympathizing with a man we have hated for two seasons. The two other standouts were Danielle Brooks and Nhut Le, who share a bonding moment, allowing us to get to know Judomaster more. With one episode left I have no idea how this season will wrap up, but James Gunn and his entire cast and crew are delivering one hell of a season that is nothing short of emotional, action-packed, and keeping us guessing at every single turn.
