James Gunn and the cast have been promising that episode 6 is when this season of Peacemaker goes off the rails, and they were not kidding! Spoilers Ahead!

The episode starts with Vigilante, Abedayo, Economos, and Harcourt looking for a way to open up a doorway to find Chris. Vigilante offers up his house and warns that his mom is a bit of a nut case, which may have been the under sell of the century. To keep his heroism adventures a secret, he told his mom that Harcourt was his girlfriend and that she was “too slutty” and so they broke up. As if that was not fun enough, the secret room that Adrian operates from in the basement is home to everything he has taken during drug busts and more. Freddie plays this hilariously as he mentions the enormous amounts of money in the basement, blood money, to which the other three stash bundles away when he isn’t looking.

Adebayo opens up the portal, and the four enter the multi-dimensional room, which houses all of Chris’s extra helmets, and they even find the disgruntled alien. Adrian wisely cracks that the code is Chris’s father’s code, which leads them into the dimension Chris has chosen to stay in forever. Things begin to go awry as Keith enters the home and Harcourt agrees to go to ARGUS with him, putting the trio in a dangerous position. Meanwhile, Adrian is obsessed with finding his other self, and not only does he find himself, he also finds out that his dad is still around in this universe. Vigilante spends this episode getting to know his doppelganger and ultimately discovers Peacemaker is his ultimate sworn enemy.

On the way to ARGUS, Harcourt is noticing something is not quite right in this universe, alluding to theories fans have had about what may just be going on here. As they arrive at ARGUS, she is caught by a drug dog who senses the cocaine on her coat from our Vigilante’s basement that blew up on her when the portal opened. Chris finally shows up as she is being released, and the two share an intimate moment where Chris explains how he needs to stay there after trying to pry Harcourt’s true feelings for him out of her.

Back on our Earth, Rick Flagg notices that Economos and Harcourt are missing, so he makes a special trip to Belle Reve, where we were shocked with our first big cameo connecting the universe! Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor appears, and it seems he and Flagg make a deal to move him and allude to him either running a future suicide squad or could it be the Legion of Doom?

Back on the other Earth, Harcourt expresses how things are weird on this Earth as Adebayo goes to take a walk, leaving Economos alone at Peacemaker’s house when his dad arrives home and catches him and stabbing him in the hand. This causes Economos to spill the beans about everything and how Earth’s Peacemaker is dead. As Adebayo is on her walk, everyone comes chasing after her to include Keith, as we discover that Chris, who is still at ARGUS, sees the American flag with a Nazi symbol where the stars would be showcasing that this earth is in danger.

Peacemaker episode 6 lives up to the hype and delivers chaos, emotion, and so much more. We are in for a fast-paced, thrilling finish to season 2, and I have no idea what is coming next!
