It’s been a busy few weeks but the competition has been rolling at WWE LFG.  WWE and A&E‘s new reality show has had it’s fair share of action and drama. AJ Styles came by. Cutler James is gone. BJ Ray stayed. Don’t cry too much for James. He’s currently on WWE NXT as a part of the “Darkstate” faction.

With a WWE NXT Contract on the line, there’s no room for error now. Booker T, The Undertaker, Mickie James and Bubba Ray Dudley have prepared their teams for this moment.

Who wins and who goes home? Two episodes back to back! Let’s find out!

TEAMS * COACHES:

Booker T: Anthony Luke, Penina “P-Nasty” Tuilaepa, Jasper Troy and Leigh Laurel

Mickie James: Dani Sekelsky, Chris Island, Troy Yearwood, and Sirena Linton

Bubba Ray Dudley: Zena Sterling, Drake Morreaux, Tatyanna Dumas and BJ Ray

Undertaker: Tyra Mae Steele, Shiloh Hill, Bayley Humphrey and Elijah Holyfield

POINT STANDING: Undertaker 7, BOOKER 6 Bubba 4, Mickey 3 (after 11 episodes)

Shawn Michaels announces that LFG playoffs have begun. There is a unique twist thrown in. Everyone will be facing their own teammate. Coaches are going to have to make the tough call of who stays or goes. The women will kick off the playoffs for this episode. Next week, the men will take center stage. WINNER. TAKE. ALL.

Taker meets with his team to talk about what’s next. He poses as to who should take the next step between Tyra Mae and Bayley. Each present a different yet equally important case. Taker tells them both to seize the moment and take it home. Booker meets with P-Nasty and Laurel. Both competitors have become close. this will be a highly emotional match.

That same thought was presented by Mickie James. Sekelsky talks about her growth. Sirena Linton speaks how the lessons she learned and how now is the moment. James challenges them to talk about each other’s strengths & weakness. Bubba holds nothing back as he talks with Zena and Tatyanna. He drives home how important this moment is.

RING THE PLAYOFF BELL!

TEAM BUBBA: Tatyanna Dumas VS. Zena Sterling

Dumas comes out swinging for this bout. Taker comments how this is the first time he’s seen a spark out of Dumas. Zena retaliates and gives a very bad suplex en route to the win. The coaches compliment both but Bubba is very critical. He comments how this has becomes an extremely difficult choice.

TEAM BOOKER: Penina “P-Nasty” Tuilaepa VS. Leigh Laurel

Both wrestlers told a unique story right form the start. Laurel and “P-Nasty” both came out to a touch of cosplay. James was a bit critical of the look. Laurel takes the W here. Taker spoke highly of the pair. Booker was more quiet about tipping his hand of who’s going home. He spun it a nice way without downplaying the stakes.

TEAM TAKER: Tyra Mae Steele VS. Bayley Humphrey

Excellent match between these two. Arguably, this could have been the show finals. Steele works over the ankle to offset Humphrey. After a failed powerbomb attempt, Steele gets the tap-out win. Post match, Bayley hits her finisher to add an extra touch to the bout. All coaches sing their high praises.

TEAM MICKIE: Dani Sekelsky VS. Sirena Linton

Linton showed some character during the match. Even the “cheat to win” finish worked in her favor. The coaches complimented the heel work as well. Bubba especially gives big praise for the growth. James is really focused on working out who’s getting her vote.

WHO HAD THE BEST MATCH OF THE WEEK?

The coaches need to decide who’s getting the point for the week. Everyone is in unison that Bayley and Tyra Mae had the match of the week. However, Booker is “putting an asterisk” by his pick.

POINT STANDING: Undertaker 8, BOOKER 6 Bubba 4, Mickey 3 (after 12 episodes)

WHO GOES HOME?

First up is Bubba Ray Dudley. He decides that Tatyanna Dumas is the one to go

Booker T is next. He makes a very tough choice. Leigh Laurel is OUT

It’s Undertaker‘s call now. This is the toughest one to make but Bayley Humphrey is gone!

Mickie James is last to go. Sirena Linton is the one to leave WWE LFG!

WHO WANTS IT MORE!

TEAM MICKIE: Chris Island VS. Troy Yearwood

Same type of vibe as the women’s pre-match interview. Once the bell rings, the match isn’t super crisp. Yearwood is trying to be a heel here but isn’t fluid in telling a story. Island gets the win via ankle lock. The coaches were very complimentary to both wrestlers.

TEAM TAKER: Shiloh Hill VS. Elijah Holyfield

Match had great in-ring science working in its favor. Hill gets frustrated and does something which pops the judges. HE TRIES BITING HOLYFIELD’S EAR?! WTF! Knowing the incident with his dad and Mike Tyson, this was wild to see. Hill wins with his finisher. Bubba was impressed with the homage but wanted it to last longer.

TEAM BUBBA: Drake Morreaux VS. BJ Ray

Fun match with Drake getting the crowd excited. Roxanne Perez was in attendance. Beginning of the match started a bit off-key As it moved forward, it got better. Drake wins via chokeslam and the crowd was happy to see it.

TEAM BOOKER: Anthony Luke VS. Jasper Troy

The pre-match interview lit a spark under both men. This led to some boiling feeling they brought into the match. It was a hard hitting affair, with Luke selling a back injury. Troy hits a tombstone slam to get the win. Post match, the coaches dug into their rivalry. It’s only gonna make the choice all the more difficult.

THE BEST MATCH FOR THE MEN?

Another point is up for grabs. After the coaches discuss, Anthony Luke VS. Jasper Troy gets the point.

POINT STANDING: Undertaker 8, BOOKER 7 Bubba 4, Mickey 3 (after 13 episodes)

SAT GOODBYE TO….

Mickie James is first up to make her choice. Troy Yearwood is eliminated

Undertaker is up next. He chooses Elijah Holyfield as the one to go home

Bubba Ray Dudley goes third. In a surprise, Drake Morreaux is sent packing

Booker T goes last. The toughest choice for the men is made. Anthony Luke is gone from LFG!

OVERALL THOUGHTS:

  • Both last votes were the toughest to make. Easily both Steele and have to be favorites
  • Bayley Humphrey will be a monster star in the business
  • After all the hijinx, BJ survives another week. Bubba explained the reasoning and he’s right. People will pay good money to see him get his ass kicked.
  • Booker breaks down how Luke and The Rock have similar sets and that holds him back. Luke’s talented enough to break out, but just not at this moment.
  • NEXT WEEK: THE FINAL EPISODE OF SEASON ONE FROM MSG!
