Hero Forge has launched their newest Kickstarter.

They are funding a custom dice maker for their website. Now, as it stands, you can make minis for your character/characters for various TTRPGs. But now you can take your mini and turn it into a set of dice. There are a lot of features for this, including:

  • Customize dice type and scale, including D4’s, D6’s, D8’s, D10’s, %D’s, D12’s, and regular or XL-sized D20’s
  • Move, scale, and rotate any item or miniature from Hero Forge within the dice, including floating items isolated using both Kitbashing and the Hide Body option within the Dice Maker tool
  • Choose from standard or life counter layouts for D20’s, allowing versatility in both tabletop roleplaying and stat tracking purposes
  • Select a fill color for the cutoff boundaries of objects within the dice (e.g., for dice depicting a bust of your character)
  • Customize the numerals on your dice using either our present options or fine-tuning on your own by repositioning, recoloring, and swapping between size options to achieve the exact visual balance you need to help tell your story

Now, these custom dice are good for a variety of games, including:

  • TTRPGs
  • Wargames
  • Card Games

The big thing with these dice is that they will be 3D printed. Just like the minis, Hero Forge will be using their Material Jetting 3D printing technology. With that tech, the dice will have remarkable levels of detail. You will get options of what dice to choose, including:

  • D4, four faces, 1-4 numerals (21mm)
  • D6, six faces, 1-6 numerals (19mm)
  • D8, eight faces, 1-8 numerals (19mm)
  • D10/%D, ten faces, 0-9 or 00-90 numerals (19mm)
  • D12, twelve faces, 1-12 numerals (22mm)
  • D20, twenty faces, 1-20 in both standard and life counter layouts (25mm)
  • XL D20, twenty faces, 1-20 in both standard and life counter layouts (38mm)

Hero Forge posted a video of them float-testing Rubber Duck Dice:

So far, the only stretch goal that was unlocked was the Font Library, which will give you a multitude of options for what font to use for the numbers on your dice. Other stretch goals include:

  • 2 Item Packs
  • Different Alphabet Options
  • Decal Symbols
  • Extended Dice Face Customation
  • Decal Symbol Pack

  • Dice Pips (Replaces the numbers)

There are add-ons you can get as well, including:
