We start this issue off in a cabin deep within the woods. Hexiciah is writing a letter for his wife and daughter. The scene then cuts to a mysterious figure in the room with him. We then shift to the school, and everyone is freaking out. Cleo is talking to Meowlody and Purrsephone about what happened to Ghoulia. It then cuts to Clawdeen and her brother Clawd talking about their family troubles.
Then we see Draculaura, and she’s outside the Guidance Counselor’s office. She walks in and D’Eath asks her how she is currently feeling. At first, she answers with how she’s saying busy at school. But then D’Eath asks how she is really feeling. Her answer is completely drained, and it’s understandable why she feels that way.
The issue then cuts to a flashback of her and Dracula having a conversation. He was disappointed at the fact that her and Wingston went to a concert in the human world. We then also find out that she has been isolated from everyone else. We then get a scene cut to Frankie and Cleo in their Ghoulish Garments class. The 2 of them are talking about everything that has transpired recently. This is when Cleo has come up with an idea. She sends a message to CryptCrier to see if they have any info about what happened to Ghoulia.
We then switch over to The Haunt For A Heart Charity Event, and it looks like a fun time. Clawdeen, Deuce, and Cle are having a conversation. We then see Clad giving Draculaura’s speech. Clawdeen is then talking with Frankie about what is happening in her life between Toralei’s new girlfriend and her parents fighting.
Cleo then is livestreaming to everyone to talk about what happened to Ghoulia. At this very moment, she trips over a fellow student who did go missing. Skelen reappears, and we see a flashback of what happened to her. So whoever is doing this, would have to know the entire student body.
Meanwhile, Draculaura is alone at home, going through what looks like notes. Then Frankie’s dad and the Headmaster, Frankenstein, tells everyone to head home. What then happens is pretty interesting. Frankenstein is then on the phone with a mystery person. Him and this person are talking about what happened since Issue #1. While he’s on the phone, Frankie is outside his door listening to this whole conversation happen.
He then walks out to find her there, and she wants to know what is going on. But he doesn’t tell her everything. Then Cleo and Deuce have a conversation, and they make up. This is then followed up by Cleo apologizing to both Clawdeen and Frankie, and the 3 of them going to Draculaura’s house to figure out what has been happening recently.
Frankie then mentions that they need to talk to her dad to figure out what is happening. The scene then cuts to Clawdeen and her family discussing recent events. The issue ends with Clad saying to Clawdeen that the students might need to take it into their own hands to figure out what has been happening at the school.
Final Grade: 10/10
Now knowing that Frankie’s dad is involved in what has been happening makes this even more interesting. Jacque and the team are really making this compelling story very interesting, and they are also making it fun for the reader to enjoy as well.
