Where Are We?

As season 5 picks up, Harley and Poison Ivy are stuck in a rut that many, if not most, couples can relate. No more going out, no more exciting nights in Gotham, no more spark, and all of the comfortability. Harley and Ivy find themselves in a place where many long-term couples find themselves. Mix in the garbage dump that Gotham City has become since the previous season, and you can see how our favorite duo are looking for adventure. Season five brings our team to the clean streets of Metropolis, where Superman is searching for job security, and there is an air of excitement and newness about it.

The heart of our core characters remains intact. Despite moving cities and going through hell and more together Harley and Ivy remain the heart and soul of this series. Making it five seasons and remaining just as funny and engaging as the first is now an easy task but, the team shows there are more than cheap jokes in this show. The jokes still land but, there is a real conundrum at the core, which is their relationship. The duo must navigate how to keep their relationship from going stale.

Harley (Kaley Cuoco) remains the wild card as you never know what she will do next, while Lake Bell continues her reserved, more grounded ways. If you’re a fan of Clayface, Bane, King Shark, and Catwoman, fear not as they make the trek in this road trip adventure with an added surprise to the team.

Five Seasons Already?!

Justin Halpern, Dean Lowery, and Patrick Schumacker have fully found their stride as digging into not only Batman’s lore but, Superman’s now shows they have a profound love for the source material. Yet, what they do so well remains as they turn the lore on its head and provide comedic relief with blood-spattered action sequences. The villain of this season may seem obvious but, season five is more of what we expect from this series.

Harley Quinn Season Five is a laugh-out-loud adventure taking the show to new venues and introducing ways to keep this show fresh and heartfelt. This may be one of the best animated seasons DC and Warner Bros has given to us yet!
