The Art, Colors and Layouts:
Juan Ferreyra’s art and colors shine, combining detailed work with a Saturday morning cartoon style that enhances the story’s enjoyment. The bold lines and excellent shading techniques amplify the island’s vibrant and adventurous atmosphere. Ferreyra’s use of non-traditional layouts, including multiple panels and larger groupings, skillfully breaks up the action sequences. Smaller panels accelerate the pace during intense moments, while larger panels encourage readers to savor the details. The black-and-white flashback sequence is a standout, heightening the emotional depth of Damian’s experiences and enriching the overall narrative.
