Justice League vs Godzilla vs Kong #6:

Superman is down, Godzilla is trapped on the ocean floor, three more Titans bear down on Metropolis, and the villains, led by Luthor as Mechagodzilla, are ready to finish the Justice League once and for all. However, nothing can rival Batman and his ability to be always prepared, as he has a trick up his sleeve with the help of his fellow heroes. This issue packs a gigantic punch as we set up for an epic conclusion to this story.

The Art:

Christian and Tom create some fascinating panels in this issue, as we see Batman in his Megazord and Bat-Plane transform, and Green Lantern also crafts his own Zord. Between the action-packed fight sequences and Luis’s vibrantly colored panels, this is a visually stunning issue. They do a great job working within the space yet not going overboard and crowding the pages. The Titans are drawn in a way that makes them feel threatening and menacing. The art team continues to shine brightly within this run.

The Writing:

Brian took some bold swings in this issue, such as killing off Guy Gardner brutally at the hands of Grodd. Each character has a moment to shine despite the chaos, carefully crafting ways to use their powers. Richard and Tyler do an excellent job crafting the letters, leaving space for the amazing artwork to still stand out and weaving the words within the action. Everyone at this point is firing on all systems.

Overall:

This story is what makes comics so amazing. In this story, it has everything you would want between titans battling our heroes, heroes against villains and other heroes, and so much heart. This run and this issue have been so much fun and remind me why I have gotten into comics in the first place. I’m certainly not ready for the run to end but, #6 sets up our conclusion perfectly.
