Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #115 by Melissa Flores, Simona Di Gianfelice, Raul Angulo, and Ed Dukeshire for BOOM! Studios
Matt, now freed from Mistress Vile, is giving his debrief and has a near panic attack that Aisha helps him get through because she had panic attacks as a kid. Billy comes up with a plan to infiltrate Safehaven using some old tunnels that Kevor previously found.
But before that all happens, Kimberly goes and visits Jason. She is going back to the old chestnut about “why, why, why,” so she is stuck in all her feelings. But thats not the only feeling that we go over.
Tommy is still stuck as Mistress Vile’s prisoner. But she is trying to manipulate the White Rangers with her twisted emotional guilt trip. Tommy holds steadfast, knowing that it wasn’t Rita that made him. It was his Team.

Speaking of Team
It seems there is dissension in the ranks as Dark Specter is pissed at The Death Ranger for trying to recruit more rangers to the cause. Showing loyalty to her master, Mistress Vile dispatches the ancient ranger.
The Rangers have a plan, but not the man (or should I say Ranger Power). They go to the old enemy of my enemy plan and recruit the Z Ranger (Lord Zedd) to make a huge distraction. So the Hyperforce Megazord and Seprentera are going to town above Safehaven. At the same time, the remainder of the Earth Based, Omega, and Drakkon Rangers infiltrate from below. Still, it’s not that easy as they become overwhelmed by the “Specter Rangers” (Dino Charge and Mighty Morphin) with backup from the Thralls. It was overwhelming, to say the least, because Alpha-1 had merged with Xi’s body!
Drakkon abandons his post to activate the Arch on Safehaven to where? We don’t know, but it seems a newly turned Specter Ranger in the form of Pink Drakkon Ranger is flowing in tow…
Thoughts from The Grid
I wanted to look into the emotional heft this issue brought. It was a quick read, with the action blaring right through. But let’s just take a second to realize how many characters are going through all kinds of emotional trauma.
- Matt: Alone, having to deal with his time under Rita’s control
- Kimberly: Still trying to grasp the idea of what this is all for?
- Aisha: Having to fight her Stone Canyon brothers, Adam and Rocky
- Zordon: Having to swallow his pride asking for help from Zedd
- The Omega Rangers have to fight their AI teammate
It even stems across to the villains
- Rita: Having always been subservient to Dark Spector, making her second guess if this was a good idea.
- Death Ranger wants to, on the one hand, take initiative in his own hands and, on the other, show his loyalty. Which ultimately ☠
