This season of “The Mandalorian” has been an interesting turn of events.
It opens up as The Mandalorian and Grogu team up as the explore different planets, and meet up with old people that we’ve seen in the past, as well as newer people, who we haven’t see in the Star Wars world.
Most of these episodes contain them also getting Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) to redeem himself as being The Mandalorian. They also meet newcomer to the show, Bo-Katan Kryze, who saves Din in a time where he was in trouble.
This season has been exploring more of where The Mandalorians come from, and getting more into the lore of why they do the things they do.
The most interesting episode, is a recent one. In episode 4, Grogu has to prove himself with a 1-on-1 battle with a boy in training named Ragnar Viszla, and Grogu wins the match. The boy is then kidnapped, and The Mandalorians were on their quest to go and rescue the boy from a large raptor.
This episode definitely gives a consensus of The Mandalorians being together and working together for the larger good. At least one time, it is mentioned about, “This Is The Way.”
Episodes, 5, 6, and 7 have changed the game. Bo-Katan has a mission to bring all the Mandalorians together. In episode 6, we see some cameos from Lizzo, Jack Black, and Christopher Lloyd as they perspective characters who Din Djarin, Bo-Katan, and Grogu go to help.
In last week’s episode 7, they bring back Moff Gideon (played by Giancarlo Esposito) and his mission is to destroy all Mandalorian people altogether. He has captured Din, and now the team must find a way to rescue him.
Season three has been strong so far. These last few episodes have set the stage for something big.
It has become apparent that The Mandalorian always tries to do something new – Whether to bring new or old characters into the world, or just new stakes that can destroy the worlds that Din Djarin and his crew keep exploring.
I just hope by the end of this season, we are fully set up for the newly announced Mandalorian movie. We know that will be HUGE!
