The Story:
Trapped in a puzzle by Madame Masque and A.I.M., Tony must find a way to escape and save the other captives before they create a new Iron Man for the evil organization! What will happen to Madame Masque when she makes Tony desperate enough to do anything and everything to survive?
The Writing:
Joshua Williamson is crafting a truly wonderful story, centering on who Tony Stark is and what makes him tick. At the same time as building a new story, Williamson is also honoring the past and deepening the already deep dynamic between Iron Man and Madame Masque. This story is building towards a wild finale and with each issue I am more and more convinced that Joshua Williamson is absolutely the right person to bring the Iron Man character back to the forefront where he belongs.

The Art:
The art team put in another solid bit of work with this issue. Each page and panel are wonderfully mapped out and the line work and colors meld perfectly to enrich the story being told. I won’t spoil anything here but what really stood out to me were a couple of trippy pages that highlighted the difficulty of the maze that Iron Man was trapped in. Excellent work from this team!
Overall Grade: 10/10
What an incredible issue this was! The creative team really gets what makes Iron Man Iron Man! With deep emotional beats, great action, and a killer final page this issue is one you don’t want to miss!
