In Miles Morales #40, Rabble returns to destroy Spider-Man. It’s been an ongoing fight between the two. Miles seeks information from Dr. Kwan, and Raneem to help figure out how to fight Rabble. What I really liked is that Miles Morales is no stranger in asking for help. Many of the heroes in both Marvel and DC, tend to want to do things on their own. Miles is that classic character that is so different than Peter Parker. To be honest, I like his choices sometimes better than Peter. They both however have the same mission, to fight crime and protect people.
Miles understands that in order to beat a foe, there has to be some sort of team effort. When it comes to the overall story, Miles still is trying to use his powers to protect the people he cares for. As well as use some of the new technology, and understand the new dangers that are coming his way.
As far as the art, it is the classic ‘Marvel’ look, that I enjoy seeing in every comic. All of the vibrant colors, and also detail to everyone’s hair styles. I especially like Miles’s hair cut, and his suit. As well as Dr. Kwan and Raneem’s hair, that gives the illusion that it’s “flying through the wind.” This issue lands on a cliff hanger, and I can’t wait to see exactly where the story lands.
Overall Grade: 8.5/10
