When it comes to Wakanda, there was not much known until both Black Panther films arrived. The arrival of the Black Panther, and the success made people wonder about more of the world.

Eyes of Wakanda is a four episode series that explores the depth of Wakanda. This mini series is also produced by Ryan Coogler, the director of both Black Panther and Wakanda Forever.

All four episodes take place with a different character. They are called the “eyes” and it starts off strong with the first episode. By the time that the last episode comes, I wanted to see more of the “eyes of wakanda.” It all ties nicely together by the time that the end comes, and it helps set up the world of where we see Black Panther come into play.

As far as the animation, it looks more realistic, better then the predecessors of What If or Marvel Zombies. I also admire the animation crew giving special detail to the many hairstyles that the women have in the series.

My only complaint with this series is, why is there only four episodes? Why isn’t there at least eight to give more time to each character. I also like the “history” part of the mini series as well. A lot of the stepping stones that the Black Panther set, are told more in detail in  Eyes of Wakanda.

Overall, I liked it and hope that the mini series gets another season. I think telling individual stories within Wakanda is very important. It becomes more vital when it comes to hopefully leading up to future Marvel projects. As well as being very important for Black Panther 3.

Overall: 9/10.
