The Newest X-Villain!
If you’ve been following the newest X-Force run like I have(you can catch up here!), then you know that there’s been a slow build to a secret villain that’s caused all sorts of problems for our mutant heroes. Forge and the rest of X-Force have had their hands full trying to fix these fractures that have been taking place all across the world, which seems to not have an end in sight. While we have all been sitting back and trying to figure out the big mystery of who’s behind the X-Force fractures, it’s seemed like we wouldn’t find out who it is anytime soon. Until now, that is.
In X-Force #6, we got our first look at the mystifying X-Villain named La Diabla and to say we’re intrigued would be an understatement. Geoffrey Thorne seems to have created a villain who makes the X-Force think they’ve met their match.
“La Diabla is formidable and very much designed to give both Forge and Sage fits,” Thorne told ComicBook.com in a recent interview. “I wanted to put some new villains with new agendas and new powersets into the mix and La Diabla is just the first. As X-Force learns more about her, so will the audience but she is absolutely not to be trifled with or underestimated.”
La Diabla is a gifted alchemist who has turned the X-Force’s worlds upside down with her brilliant ways to get into the hearts and mind of the mutant heroes. It looks like we will be treated to more of her backstory and hopefully more of her future plans for the X-Force in X-Force #8, which will be on sale February 19th.
