“The enemy of my enemy is my friend”
That has never been more true that when Sal and Sofia join forces. With a new power struggle in place, how long can Oz survive? Let’s talk “The Batman” spin-off – “The Penguin” (airing on HBO) “Gold Summit”.
In this episode, it starts off with Oz (Colin Farrell) communicating and hiring new people to work in his new setup. It seems that Victor (Rhenzy Feliz) has also been making drops of the product around the city. More money is coming into this operation, and Oz is happy. Oz’s endgame is to have a meet with an important family, the Triads in order to make his operation even more successful.
Now, to Sofia (Cristin Milioti) it seems she is still after who is linked to Oz. Including family and friends and we Dr. Julian Rush (Theo Rossi) who now has an interesting relationship now with Sofia. Dr. Julian asks Sofia if there is anything that he can do, he can definitely do it. Salvatore (Clancy Brown) is also at Sofia’s home, and they are strategizing how to find people, who know about Oz.

Victor runs into Squid, who previously was in a few episodes back. Squid saw Victor sneaking in Francis (Deirdre O’Connell) into their temporary home. Squid wants to meet Oz, and start working within the operation. Victor tries to pay Squid off, but, it doesn’t end well. Victor unfortunately kills Squid, and it really affects him. Victor is seen at the home, and he trying to rub off the blood off his shoes. Oz sees immediately that Victor is in distress, and tells him that he did the right thing.
Salvatore and Sofia raid Oz’s old place, and Sofia finds a picture of Eve (Carmen Ejogo). Sofia goes off on her own, to try and find her. Some of the girl’s from the previous episode, that are her “girls” told Sofia they don’t know her. Sofia ends up finding Eve, and has her at gunpoint. One thing I liked about this scene, is that Sofia and Eve know and understand Oz. It’s a deeper conversation, and they both know that Oz can do incredibly cruel things. Sofia doesn’t end up killing Eve. At the end, Eve did give up where Oz, Victor, and Francis are.
Oz is meeting up with the Sullivan’s, and they are contemplating still making deals with Oz. Oz ends up making this entire speech, and convincing them to stay aboard with him. Oz gives a beet for them to drink, as he is talking.
The power goes back on where Victor and Francis are. The record goes off, and Francis wants to dance with Victor. Victor ends up obliging, and then in the distance, the audience sees Sofia with a crow bar. The episode ends after that. I’m really worried for both Victor and Francis’s safety. I’m interested to see exactly what Salvatore and Sofia will do, after they find Oz.
