The Nacelle Company has been acquiring so many great IPs over the past few years out of the nostalgia toybox, and just like we did as kids, they are putting them all together into one universe! With Robo-Force, a force is reckoned to lead off the pack. Now we jump from the 80s hit toy line to a 90s cartoon that will rev up with the BIKER MICE FROM MARS!

The Story
It’s the back story we never knew we needed!!! Don’t get me wrong, the original series pilot was ok, but this give us heart and depth and, finally, blood! This is about the Biker Mice FROM Mars. It’s the Biker Mice ON Mars! The trio are already would-be vigilantes as the Pultarkins are taking over Mars. We know where the story goes, but to get a great backstory and really get a full sense of where the boy’s motivations come from.
The Art
For a comic that is based on a 90’s cartoon, it is smooth and modern. The colors and textures are bold but not overdone. Since this story takes place on motorcycles, the action scenes are vibrant. The Bikes look great, but I absolutely love the helmets. Yes, with the helmets and their glass visors, you can still see who’s inside, but the detail and the curvature have so much realism. Even when you can see reflections in them in the distance, it’s not too distracting, and it does not take away from anything else.
Biker Mice From Mars gets a 9.5 out of 10
Once again, Melissa Flores is doing what she does best: world-building! Having this all take place well before the TV series started is genius. I was so involved with the story that I missed the huge fact that this was before the accident that led to the designs we get on TV.
I can’t wait to see how much she works in the show’s canon while expanding it in the way she does best. She’s a phenom of franchises, and it’s already kicking tail from the start of the book. How could this relate to the new Co-Prouduce series with Ryan Reynolds?
