On April 16, Eisner Award-winning creator Daniel Warren Johnson (Beta Ray Bill, Transformers) teams up with the current Wolverine creative duo, Saladin Ahmed and Martín Cóccolo, to celebrate the 400th issue of Wolverine’s solo series in Wolverine #8. Fans can get an early glimpse of Johnson’s artwork in this oversized issue, complete with his bold black-and-white variant cover.

In Wolverine #8 (Legacy #400), Ahmed and Cóccolo introduce Wolverine’s formidable new arch-nemesis, Adamantine, in a thrilling confrontation, while also unveiling a shocking twist from Logan’s past. Later, Johnson takes the reins for a brutal tale of revenge, set during Logan’s time in Japan, showcasing the character doing what he does best.

“What’s better than Wolverine with claws? Wolverine with a katana,” Johnson teased of his backup story.
