Creature Commandos Episode 5 Review:  Meeting A New Villain?

Another week of a brand new Creature Commandos episode. Now, Rick Flag Sr. (Frank Grillo) is off to go and warn the princess. In the midst of it, he runs into Frankestein (David Harbour) who oddly has a bit of a back story himself. In the episode it shows how he was rescued by a little old woman and her dog, and she nursed him back to health.  One of the common themes with  Frankestein is having his mission, trying to get his bride back.

Now as Frankestein travels with Rick, they want to investigate Dr. Aisla MacPherson (Stephanie Beatriz). Rick believes that Dr. MacPherson is wrong about Princess Ilana (Maria Bakalova), and they both end up raiding her home.  As the episode continues, it reveals that they are indeed correct.

While Rick and Frankestein are off, the rest of the Creature Commandos crew are traveling to go and find the princess. Once again, this is another episode where the Bride of Frankenstein (Indira Varma) has no idea that Frankestein is looking for her.

When  Frankenstein and Rick Sr. get to the house, they are looking for clues of anything unusual in Dr. MacPherson’s house. When she finally gets home, it is revealed that she is not who she seems. She is Clayface, and Rick Sr. was right all along.  As they are sneaking out, there is a ongoing fight going on during this time. Rick Sr. and Frankenstein fighting Clayface, and the Creature Commandos crew are fighting the guards of Princess Ilana.  At the end, it looks like Rick Flag Sr. actually is severely injured, and possibly dies? I’m not sure, and hopefully that will be answered in the next episode.

I give this episode a 7.5/10.
