We are halfway to the most wonderful time of the year and Disney+ is celebrating by giving us a first look at their newest spinoff series, “The Santa Clauses.”
The series is a continuation of the early 2000’s “The Santa Clause” trilogy. It’s been over fifteen years since we’ve seen Scott Calvin/Santa Clause in the last movie, The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause. As of right now only two of the original cast members are confirmed to be coming back for the series. That is, of course, Scott Calvin aka Santa Claus himself, Tim Allen, and Mrs. Claus, Elizabeth Mitchell. Neither of the most famous elves in the North Pole; Bernard nor Curtis are confirmed to make an appearance. Also unconfirmed at this time are Scott Calvin’s son Charlie and his family from the human world.

However, joining the cast as the daughter of Santa and Mrs. Claus, the same one that we saw as a newborn in the last film is Tim Allen’s real-life daughter, Elizabeth Allen-Dick. Other new cast members include; Austin Kane, Rupali Redd, and Devin Bright as series regulars. Kal Penn is also confirmed to show up in the series.
According to IMBd, this is the official synopsis for the series; Scott Calvin is on the brink of his 65th birthday and realizing that he can’t be Santa forever. He’s starting to lose a step in his Santa duties, and more importantly, he’s got a family who could benefit from a life in the normal world.
“The Santa Clauses” is set to air sometime in December 2022 only on Disney+.
